in 9 easy steps
Easy install steps for Batten and Clip Solution
1. Setup a safe working height platform or steps.
2. Mark the centre locations of the batten clips on the truss
3. Setup the laser and mark out the clip level line (depending on depth of batten)
4. Install the Barracuda clips using 25mm drywall screws
5. Install perimeter channel using 32mm self-tapping screws
6. Clip-in the Barracuda battens, start with one edge and squeeze the other side to fit
7. Fix the end of the batten to the perimeter angle using a wafer head screw
8. Connect the earthing strap
9. Stand back, crack a cold one, and admire your handy work.
Easy install steps for Direct Fix Battens
1. Setup a safe working height platform or steps.
2. Mark the centre locations of the batten clips on the truss
3. Install perimeter channel using 32mm self-tapping screws
4. Clip-in the Barracuda battens, start with one edge and squeeze the other side to fit
5. Fix the end of the batten to the perimeter angle using a wafer head screw
6. Connect the earthing strap
7. Stand back, crack a cold one, and admire your handy work.
NOTE: It is important to note that using the Direct-Fix method assumes that the truss/rafters are level as the batten will pick up any imperfection in the timber or frame manufacture. While it is the cheaper option, the ceiling may not be perfectly level.

Roofing Purlin System
